About

The Centre for European Research mission is to:

  • Combine conventional scholarly activities (research seminars, lectures, visiting speakers etc.), with the development of a dynamic interface between the academic community and policy officials, NGOs, practitioners and business leaders;
  • Support research activities, mainly through the funding of conferences and workshops with a European focus;
  • Promote excellence in teaching and learning on matters relating to Europe;
  • Provide a platform for the engagement of research students with an interest on Europe from different disciplinary backgrounds.

The CER currently hosts two highly successful and prestigious publications Politics (Political Studies Association) co-edited by Dr Javier Sajuria, and Mediterranean Politics (2016 impact factor 1.117 for 2016) is co-edited by Dr. Sarah Wolff.
