My job involves supporting researchers who are applying to NIHR and other nationally advertised, peer-reviewed funding programmes for applied health & social care research. Before this, I worked for nearly ten years as a Research Adviser with the NIHR Research Design Service East of England, in a similar role. My PhD and post-doctoral research projects were laboratory based, using cell and molecular biology techniques, as part of a Vitamin D Research Group. I’ve also worked in the NHS and several University settings as an academic researcher and in research governance roles. I’m currently a member of a Health Research Authority Research Ethics Committee and Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s Research Awards Panel. Research
