Profile
I am a Clinical Research Fellow and PhD student in the Women's Precision Prevention team led by Prof Ranjit Manchanda within the Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis, Wolfson Institute of Population Health. My thesis aims to improve precision prevention in women’s cancers including ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer and breast cancer through a series of projects covering risk ascertainment and risk-reducing strategies encompassing medical and surgical prevention.
I am part of the central coordinating team of PROTECTOR (link https://www.qmul.ac.uk/fmd//research/protector/), a study which offers women at increased risk of ovarian cancer a new alternative two-step procedure - risk-reducing early salpingectomy and delayed oophorectomy, to reduce their risk of ovarian cancer.
I also work on PROTECT-C (link PROTECT-C), a completely digital app-based study offering unselected women population-based genetic testing in 9 cancer susceptibility genes to see if they are at increased risk of breast, ovarian, bowel and/or endometrial cancer.
