Dr Ellen Camboe, MBChB, BMedSci

Academic Clinical Fellow

I attended the University of Aberdeen where I studied medicine and was supported to take an extra year to complete a BMedSci.

During my studies, I was given opportunities to learn a wide range of techniques, but I have recently discovered my passion for working directly with patients.

I am currently working as an Academic Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry and I have a particular interest in improving healthcare services for unrepresented groups, particularly patients with mental illnesses and difficulties in accessing physical health care.

My current research focuses on the mental health sequelae of Parkinson’s disease such as mood disturbance, cognitive impairment and psychotic symptoms.
