Voice & Community Health

We
develop robust and critical support with groups who experience inequality and marginalisation to help define and advocate for their health needs. This includes the delivery of research projects underpinned by participatory methods as well as community-based education and capacity building activity. Alongside this work we also critically reflect on and innovate participatory methodologies that aim to ensure the equitable production of public health knowledge and policy making Our current projects focus on adolescent mental health in Vietnam, violence reduction in the UK, the improvement of health and opportunities for children living in areas of high poverty in the UK, anti-racist public involvement in university-based research, and participatory public health policy agenda setting in east London.
