REACH: Pre-hospital care for older adults

Understanding REACH in context - Qualitative Study. This study is funded by Barts Charity through its Research Project Grant scheme (Grant reference: G-003152)
Discover our Research

REACH (Remote Emergency Access Coordination Hub) is a pre-hospital support service based within Barts Health NHS Trust. Emergency physicians provide advice to London Ambulance Service (LAS) paramedics and work with community health and care services across North East London to help support clinical decision-making and care outside hospital where appropriate.

Our study is looking at how REACH is working for patients aged 65 and over, their family carers, and the health and care professionals involved. We want to understand what works well, what works less well, and what can be learned to improve REACH and similar services.
