Profile
I am a PhD researcher working on psycho/neurolinguistics, funded by QMUL Principal’s Postgraduate Research Studentship.
Broadly speaking, my PhD research is dedicated to understanding how morphologically complex words in Tagalog are processed and encoded in the human mind/brain.
I am also working as a Doctoral Research Associate at QMUL and New York University Abu Dhabi for the SAVANT Project (Tagalog Team), under the supervision of Dr. Linnaea Stockall and Dr. Samantha Wray, where we're investigating the neurobiological bases of morphosyntactic and morphosemantic processing in understudied languages.
Previously in my MPhil work at the University of Hong Kong, I investigated how bilingual language activation may affect the development of new implicit linguistic knowledge in bilinguals.
