qLegal helps students develop their professional brand

In October 2020, the qLegal Team launched a new marketing strategy where every qLegal student will complete a profile raising (business development) activity. Students will either undertake a social media takeover on our LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, or create a content piece for the qLegal website, blog or newsletter.

Business development is a skill which lawyers need to develop, just like drafting and client care. The profile raising activities will enable our students to practice these skills and to demonstrate their creativity and commercial awareness online, with a view to developing their professional networks.

We are delighted at qLegal’s new focus on marketing, which will publish content from over 90 students from across the globe.

To achieve this, we have appointed seven students to our editorial team. Our new editorial team is both international and interested in different areas of law, reflecting the qLegal student body.

Zoe Asser is a PhD student, with her thesis focusing on intermediary liability and image based sexual abuse online. Janan Foster is pursuing an Art, Business and Law LLM. Phoebe Bluestone is pursuing a general Master of Law focusing on migration. Elif Eroglu is an LLM student in International Business Law. Raina Mahapatra is studying International and Comparative Dispute Resolution. Bibi Fathema Rahman is pursuing a Tax Law LLM. Mirian Madubuko is pursuing an Energy and Natural Resources Law LLM.

The profile raising activity is yet another endeavor through which qLegal equips students with essential skills to enhance their employability, and supports small businesses and start-ups.

Please follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn, subscribe to our newsletter on this page, and explore our the qLegal website and blog. These platforms provide insights into qLegal and the legal landscape faced by small businesses and start-ups.
