Profile

I completed my BSc. and MSc. in Civil engineering before beginning a PhD in Transport Studies at University College London (UCL) in 2015, where I was awarded a full scholarship from the Lloyds’ Register Foundation (LRF). In my doctoral dissertation, I developed a novel microscopic vehicle emissions model to estimate tailpipe emission at each second of driving based on the vehicle’s speed and acceleration.  I continued my research at UCL as a research fellow in Transport and Air quality after graduating in 2019. My researches focused on state-space modelling for urban air quality and quantifying the impacts of Ultra Low emission zone (ULEZ) on London air quality. In Sep. 2020, I joined Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) as a Senior Data Analyst. I am responsible for data extraction from medical information systems, data management and analysis, statistical modelling and presenting the analysis and findings to the senior management team. I was awarded two research grants from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) in May 2021 and June 2022. I am the Principle Investigator for these projects, which aim to understand the relationship between air pollution exposures and health. Additionally, I am a Co-Investigator on a larger project that is funded by the Health Effects Institute (HEI) and focuses on understanding the impact of non-tailpipe vehicle emissions on human health.

My plan for future research is to define multidisciplinary projects in the areas of Transport, Environment and Public health.
