Global Opportunities

Incoming Staff

Queen Mary values the contributions that incoming staff make to the university. Visiting international colleagues enrich international perspectives and broaden minds within our community, mutually working with us to facilitate internationalisation on our campuses especially to non-mobile students and staff.

Staff mobility activities are encouraged to support the Erasmus+ programme priorities of inclusion and diversity, environmental sustainability, digital transformation and active participation in society.

At Queen Mary, academic departments and professional services welcome staff from our partners for teaching or training opportunities.

Professional development in an international workplace environment enhances an individual’s career invaluably, and staff mobility opportunities make this possible. While hosting an incoming staff member during a visit at Queen Mary, we support them in their pursuit to:

  • Learn and share new ideas, inspired by international outlooks,
  • Exchange expertise and best practice examples with Queen Mary colleagues,
  • Develop life skills and explore new tools and technologies in their field(s),
  • Broaden their horizons and discover new ways of teaching (for teaching mobilities),
  • Acquire a network of new international colleagues.

Explore below the opportunities for a staff mobility visit to Queen Mary in London – a leading UK university in one of the world’s most exciting cities.
