The IHSS aims to encourage and support the interdisciplinary and cross-faculty research of QMUL scholars. To ensure it offers four main channels of funding each year, some of which have deadlines, and others of which are awarded on a rolling basis throughout the year: (a) Early Career Workshops(b) Large-Grant Seed-corn funding (c) Visiting Fellowship Scheme and Visiting Fellows appointments(d) Support for one-off collaborations, seminars and events* You can find out more about each source of funding under the respective tabs.
*The IHSS will consider requests for small amounts of funding to support an array of interdisciplinary activities – such as seminars and workshops – across the Faculty. This funding operates on a rolling basis. Please send a brief outline of the intended activity, how it fits within the mission of the IHSS, and any anticipated outcomes to the Director Professor Kate Malleson no later than four weeks prior to the event.
