Profile

Dr Yang Ooi is part of the Clinical and Communication Skills team based at the Robin Brook Centre. He teaches clinical skills to Years 1, 2 and 3 medical students and is involved in teaching communication skills to Years 3 and 5. He leads on the Introduction to Clinical Methods module for Year 3 alongside one of his colleagues, supervises the SPIN GP initiative and is one of the lead examiners for Year 4.

He is a GP of nearly 30 years standing, having been a partner in a semi-rural practice in Worcestershire before moving to London where he now also teaches in the community for King’s College London Medical School. Until recently, he has had a parallel career as a Biology teacher and UCAS Adviser in Medicine in schools since 2001.
