ENGINEERING AND MATERIALS SCIENCE - OTHER LIBRARIES

In addition to the QMUL Library collections, you may be able to access other libraries to find further resources relevant to your subject. See information about other libraries you might be able to access, including the British Library, Senate House Library and the Copac Library catalogue, and further information about accessing other higher education libraries.

There are also the following specialist libraries relevant to Engineering and Materials Science:

DANA Research Centre165 Queens Gate, London SW7 5HD. The Science Museum's library, which has unique resources around science technology and science in general. Reference access only.

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Library & Archives: Savoy Place, London WC2R 0BL. The Library's website includes information about membership.

Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE): 1 Portland Place, London, W1B 1PN. Email the IChemE for details of student membership on memserv@icheme.org.uk.

Institution of Civil Engineers: 1 Great George Street, Westminster, London, SW1P 3AA. Covering civil engineering and connected areas, including railway, sustainable energy etc. The library also has an image collection which is available to view online.

National Aerospace Library: (also known as the NAL) Located at Farnborough Business Park in the former Royal Aircraft Establishment (RAE) Q134 Weapon Aerodynamics building known as The Hub. The collection includes extensive runs of journals recording the development of aviation and 40,000 technical reports from aeronautical research establishments around the world. The NAL is also a depository library for all ICAO publications. For more information about the collection see here.
