We are working with the Students' Union to provide a Graduation Fund. The Graduation Fund aims to support Queen Mary students who are facing financial hardship with the cost of graduation. The fund covers the cost of cap and gown hire and is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. It primarily aims to support students who otherwise could not afford the cost of attending graduation and we particularly encourage applications from students not in contact with their family (estranged), students who are parents or carers and students from lower income backgrounds.
Applications
Applications for the Graduation Fund Have now closed. You will be contacted by the Students' Union and informed of the outcome of your application.
Please note: Unfortunately, we are unable to accept late applications. While we aim to support as many students as possible, we often receive a high volume of applications and cannot guarantee all applicants will receive funding. If you have any questions about the Grad Fund please email su-representation@qmul.ac.uk.
We will monitor this latest industrial action, noting the local agreement in place with UCU to support our students to progress and complete their studies in a timely manner. We expect any industrial action to be focused on a very small number of areas within the University. Should you be in one of the affected areas, the University will take all necessary steps to ensure you can progress or graduate on time, assuming you reach the required standard. I also want to reassure you that we will not compromise on the quality and standards of our assessment processes as a result of any industrial action: the rigour with which your work will be assessed will be of a standard that is similar to that of a normal year, and hence your marks and degree classification, will be a true reflection of the quality of your performance.
