The Festival of Communities is returning this year on Saturday 8th June from 11.30am-4.30pm in Stepney Green Park.
Aimed at engaging local communities in east London, the Festival is a collaboration between Queen Mary and local organisations. The weekend will bring together Queen Mary staff and students, community organisations and residents to jointly explore living and learning in Tower Hamlets. The activities and workshops at the Festival are designed for local families to learn something new or try something different. In the past, these ranged from hands-on experiments, sharing stories and views, interacting with demonstrations and trying out fun new things. Our last Festival saw over 7,000 visitors joining us over two days.
