What is Clearing?

Clearing is part of the UCAS application process, giving you the chance the find and secure a place on a wide variety of available university courses.

You can use Clearing if one of the following apply:

  • If you have received higher grades than expected
  • You’ve changed your mind about what/where you wish to study
  • You've made a last minute decision about wanting to go to university
  • You didn’t meet the conditions of your firm offer and are exploring other options

Clearing is open

 As soon as you have your results you can apply to Clearing via our online application form via our Clearing coursefinder or call our Clearing hotline.
