Dr Peng Zhang

Lecturer In Environmental & Sustainable Chemistry

Room Number: Joseph Priestly Building, Room G.06

Dr. Zhang's research primarily centers on the environmental chemistry of pollutants, encompassing heavy metals, nanomaterials, and microplastics, and their consequential effects on both the environment and human health. A pivotal facet of his research involves unraveling the intricacies of chemical and biological reactions occurring at the biointerface. This understanding serves as a cornerstone for comprehending the behavior and ultimate fate of contaminants and materials within the environment. Furthermore, his investigations delve into the intricate interactions between contaminants/materials and biological organisms, unveiling critical
insights into their dynamics. His research also expands to the application of nanotechnology by developing nano-based solutions designed to foster environmental and agricultural sustainability
