Developing as a clinical educator
This one day workshop has been approved by the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 5 category 1 (external) CPD credit(s). Full conditions of approval are listed in the RCP's online guidelines.

Where?
The event will take place at the Whitechapel Campus of Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. You will receive detailed joining instructions once you have booked your place.
Who is it for?
The workshop is intended for anyone wishing to become a supervisor (whether a senior trainee or consultant), and those who have not been on a similar workshop in the past with any level of experience.
Course content
The course is based on the Professional Development Framework that was originally developed by the London Deanery. This workshop will cover Domains 1 to 4 and 7 around the topics of:
- Qualities of good teaching
- Lesson planning
- Giving feedback
- Teaching on the run
- Workplace-based assessment
- Turning assessment into a developmental discussion
- Case based assessment
- Developing the learning environment
