Queen Mary applications for the 2023/24 academic year are now open. To be considered for 2023/24 entry you must submit your application by March 31st 2023. Applications will not be considered after this date. Please check the HEC website for the details of their own funding calls and application deadlines.
The jointly funded scholarships will cover the tuition fees and provide a stipend of £1,015/month to contribute towards the scholar’s living costs. Queen Mary waives the fees and HEC pays the stipend.
Please note that this stipend will not cover the scholar’s living costs in full and does not meet the level of financial support necessary to secure a UK visa (currently £1,334/month). The scholar will therefore need to secure additional funding in order to be able to take up their studies at Queen Mary. For further details of the requirements set out by UK Visas and Immigration, please see –https://www.welfare.qmul.ac.uk/guides/student-funds/
The scholarships will be available for PhD study in the following academic schools at QMUL:
We cannot consider applications for the School of Medicine and Dentistry for this funding scheme.
