Betrayal might also constitute a type of threat, where what is threatened is the relationship with others, or one’s sense of interpersonal trust. This research aims to investigate 1) whether people exhibit avoidance-approach behavioural tendencies under betrayal-related threat; and 2) whether people are more or less likely to take perspectives of someone who betrayed them.
