Jonathan Griffiths to speak at 'Copyright Exceptions and Limitations within the Scope of the Review of the EU Copyright Framework' in Latvia

Jonathan Griffiths, Reader in Intellectual Property Law at QMUL, is to speak at a seminar on 'Copyright Exceptions and Limitations within the Scope of the Review of the EU Copyright Framework' in Riga, Latvia on 26 March 2015. 

The seminar is organised by the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and aims to contribute to current discussions on the potential revision of the EU copyright rules (in particular, discussions within the Council`s Intellectual Property (Copyright) Working Party on the Commission's expected legislative proposal of the European Commission. The main audience of the seminar will be the members of the Working Party and the representatives of the European Commission dealing with copyright. Jonathan will speak on "The role of the Court of Justice of the European Union in interpreting exceptions and limitations under the Information Society Directive".
