4 April 2019 - 5 April 2019

Time: 9:00am - 6:30pm
Venue: One Birdcage Walk, 1 Birdcage Walk, Westminster, London SW1H 9JJ

More Than Just a Game is a unique international series of academic-led conferences on Games and Interactive Entertainment law attracting an international network of researchers and legal professionals who are passionate about the most successful and fastest-growing of the Creative Industries. In this unique environment creativity meets advanced technologies, spawning cutting-edge legal and regulatory explorations.

About the event

The 5th edition of MTJG is dedicated to the role that games and interactive entertainment play in society and their profound impact on human interactions and in our democracy.  Leading international academics, practitioners, in-house counsels and industry experts will engage in dialogues regarding the most crucial legal features of the social contract of the modern Homo Ludens and address the fundamental question of how the rules of the games and the legal structures of the ‘real world’ interact with one another. Our deeper theme will be how we can use our experiences as video game scholars and lawyers in understanding the intensive gamification of modern society, and to help create better societies.
