Education

The Lifelong Health MDT is thrilled to announce the launch of the MRes in Regenerative Medicine. This new programme, with first student intake in 2024, was driven forward and set up by the Education Leads: Dr Emanuel Rognoni and Dr Mat Caley.

This MRes programme will allow students to design and carry out experiments as part of an extended research project under the expert supervision of internationally renowned scientists. These will primarily be lab-based in state-of-the-art research facilities, with some bioinformatics projects also available.

Teaching will be interactive and collaborative, allowing students to develop their skills in critically appraising research and communicating their findings. Additionally students will have the pleasure of being taught by both Dr Caley and Dr Rognoni

Regenerative Medicine is a highly interdisciplinary field and rapidly growing area of research that encompasses stem cell biology, tissue engineering, genome engineering, and nanotechnology. Our programme is provided as a collaboration between the Blizard Institute at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, and the School of Engineering and Materials Science.
