Environment & Health sub-themes

The Environment & Health MDT has four key sub-themes by which research activities are grouped:

• Natural Environment (e.g., Land, water, air)
• Microbial Environment (e.g., Infectious diseases, commensal pathogens)
• Built Environment (e.g., Housing, urban landscapes, recreation)
• Psychosocial Environment (e.g., stress, poverty, mental health)

Research Workstreams

We are currently working on two key areas, following on from our research sandpits held in 2022 and 2023, which helped to establish key priority areas for the theme.

Our two key research workstreams are:

• The Breathed Environment (BE)
• The Impact of Climate Change on Health (ICCH)
