Seminar Series - New approaches for the synthesis of spirocycles and macrocycles
30 November 2018
Time: 12:30 - 1:30pm
Speaker: Dr William Unsworth, University of York
Venue: Room 2.40, Bancroft Building
In this Chemistry and Biochemistry seminar, Dr William Unsworth of University of York will deliver a talk on 'New approaches for the synthesis of spirocycles and macrocycles'.
Dr Unsworth has recently taken up a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Research Fellowship. His research group is interested in the development of new methods for the synthesis of functionalised, complex molecules with applications. Current research interests include macrocycle synthesis, direct imine acylation, spirocyclisation, C–H activation, alkyne activation, copper catalysis, rhodium catalysis, asymmetric synthesis and target synthesis.
This seminar is open to all.
