Marcus Hicks

Marcus utilises phenotypic, genomic and transcriptomic data to study the role that plasticity plays in the reproduction of neotropical insects. In particular, he is working with Catonephele butterflies, looking at how their reproductive output varies in response to a highly seasonal environment.

Alongside this, Marcus is involved in Project Psyche, an international collaboration aiming to produce genome assemblies for all European Lepidoptera and utilise this resource for ecological and conservation research.
