Which departments are using AskQM?
AskQM is our brand new way of managing student enquiries, allowing you to self-serve and find the answers to your questions fast using the extensive range of Knowledge Articles which have been written by staff members with a specialism in that area.
Many Schools, Departments and Services around Queen Mary are now using AskQM to resolve your enquiries, however, there are some Teams that are not. This page provides you with information about who is and who is not using AskQM so that you are supported in knowing who to contact if you have a specific enquiry.
Teams using AskQM
Staff from the following areas will be using AskQM to resolve your queries:
- Advice and Counselling Service
- Appeals, Complaints and Conduct Office
- AskQM Frontline Enquiry Team
- Bursaries, Grants and Scholarships
- Careers and Enterprise
- Disability and Dyslexia Service
- Enrolment
- Events and Ceremonies
- Examinations and Awards
- Faculty and School staff who manage student enquiries

- Student Records
Teams not using AskQM
There are some Teams and Departments who will not be resolving enquiries via AskQM as they have alternative ways you can get in contact with them. Please do not try and submit enquiries for these teams using AskQM and instead, contact them directly:
- Admissions: Admissions do not have a student facing service or phone line so you can contact online using their enquiry form.
- Alumni Office: Our community of former students can contact the Alumni Office via email.
- Housing Services: The Housing Services team provides you with the guidance you need to ensure that you find suitable housing during your studies at Queen Mary. Please send your queries to housingservices@qmul.ac.uk The team also manage all residential fee payments. To contact them about this, please email residences-finance@qmul.ac.uk. More information can be found on the Housing Services website.
- IT Services: IT Services can provide support to students for a range of issues. Their 'Services for students' webpage provides a lot of helpful information and you can also contact them via a 24/7 Live Chat.
- Library Services: There are several ways to get support from Library Services and find our libraries and library managed study spaces.
