With 20 defeats, an historic loss of parliamentary control and no majority, is Theresa May the weakest Prime Minister ever?

The latest blow to Theresa May's troubled time in office was delivered by a margin of 27 as MPs voted to take control of the parliamentary timetable. The defeats endured by Mrs May have also been notable for their size with the first meaningful vote on the Withdrawal Agreement being defeated by a record margin of 230. Research by Professor Philip Cowley has shown that the previous biggest defeat in the post-WWI era was suffered by the first Ramsay MacDonald ministry in 1924.
