The floating voter

Professor of Politics, Professor Philip Cowley appeared on Talk Radio to discuss the unpredictable nature of modern voters for the upcoming election. Professor Cowley said: “Things have been changing with the British electorate over the last 30 or 40 years. A key one of those that has been changing for decades is that voters are becoming more volatile. Less loyal, less tribal, the days of people who used to vote for the same party election after election after election, those days have gone. Almost everybody now is a floating voter.”
