What's special about our degrees?

Our programmes offer you teaching from experts in specialist departments across Queen Mary and with partner organisations in the mental health sector.

Forensic Psychology and Mental Health MSc is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and will help you develop the skills you’ll need to work safely, ethically and effectively with offenders who pose a risk to others. It is also taught in partnership with experts from the East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), a recognised centre of excellence providing forensic care to a complex and diverse population.

A number of our programmes are joint programmes, benefiting from the expertise of specialist departments across Queen Mary and taking advantage of the multidisciplinary nature of the university:

The Department of Drama, part of the School of English and Drama co-leads the Creative Arts and Mental Health MSc, drawing on their experience and expertise in theatre and the wider creative arts to explore the interrelationship with mental health and psychology.

The Centre for Global Public Health and Centre for Psychiatry jointly deliver the MSc Public Mental Health, bringing together the expertise of global public health experts with that of mental health and psychology specialists to understand the intersection between the two subjects.

Our new MSc Mental Health Economics is a collaboration between the School of Economics and Finance, and Wolfson Institute’s Centre for Psychiatry, which offers an opportunity for economists and health professionals to gain skills and understanding.
