Safeguarding is built into how every outreach activity is planned and delivered, in summary:

All outreach staff and student ambassadors complete safeguarding training as part of their recruitment.
Your school, college or community group is responsible for supervising our Student Ambassadors during a visit, unless we've agreed otherwise with you in writing.
Where we've agreed ambassadors can work unsupervised, we'll confirm in advance that they hold an enhanced DBS check.
Our staff and ambassadors carry Queen Mary ID and a lanyard, so they're easy to identify on or off-site.

We collect some personal data when you take part in our activities, here's why, and what say you have over it.

We use your data to evaluate our activities and report on how they're helping widen access to higher education, as required by the Office for Students.
Our lawful basis for this is UK GDPR Article 6(1)(e), processing necessary to perform a task in the public interest.
You can ask what data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, at any time.
If you are not comfortable sharing your data? That's completely fine as it won't affect your ability to take part.
