Research events

The School hosts a regular lunchtime seminar series throughout the academic year, as well as the David M. Smith Annual Lecture. These events are open to all students, staff and alumni from across the university, and members of the public.

Lunchtime Seminar Series 

  • Seminars are held on Tuesdays during term-time, 12-1pm, in the City Centre Seminar Room (2.07 Bancroft Building).

David M. Smith Annual Lecture 

  • The most recent lecture was held on 30 November 2017 and was given by Professor Don Mitchell on 'Revolting New York: How 400 Years of Riot, Revolt, Uprising, and Revolution Shaped a City'.
