Research events

The School hosts a regular lunchtime seminar series throughout the academic year, as well as the David M. Smith Annual Lecture. These events are open to all students, staff and alumni from across the university, and members of the public.

Lunchtime Seminar Series 

  • Seminars are held on Wednesdays during term-time, 1-2pm, in the City Centre Seminar Room (2.07 Bancroft Building).

David M. Smith Annual Lecture 

  • The most recent lecture was held on 5 December 2019 and was given by Professor Iwona Sagan (Department of Socio-Economic Geography, University of Gdansk, Poland) 'From communism to neoliberalism and back to populism: changing models of (not only) urban policy'
