The first of our annual A-level conferences organised in collaboration with Denise Freeman who leads the East London Geography Hub for teachers took place at the School of Geography at Queen Mary University of London on the 9th of June 2022.
The theme of the conference was climate change and we explored this through the idea of climate change as a ‘wicked’ problem. The event included guest lectures and lively discussion sessions and was judged by the students to have been really helpful, interesting and informative.
Our East London A-level Geography Conference for Students will be taking place soon!
The annual half day event supports A-level geography students by providing a lively interactive learning experience about the issue of climate change and in the process, cultivating their skills of analysis, argument and communication.
