Barts and The London Dental Club Webinar Series 2021

Unfortunately due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's Barts and The London Dental Club Annual Meeting has had to be postponed until we can meet in person again. 

Club President, Dr Asma Qureshi (Dentistry BDS, 2006) is planning a programme of CPD-accredited webinars, which are due to start in March. 

• For Webinar #1 on Thursday 25 March, Chris Emery (Dentistry BDS, 1969) will join us to share first hand, his specialist experience of practical and predictable endodontics, while the Malcolm Jenkins and John Richards Travelling Scholarship presentation will be delivered by final year students, Ashley Mungar and Shona Sawnhey, who will report on their project, 'Antibiotic Usage for Periodontal Procedures'. We are also thrilled that Yuqiao Liu, a fourth year student, will be playing a live piano piece just for us!
• For Webinar #2 on Thursday 10 June, Dr Shaam Shamsi (Dentistry BDS, 1994) will give us an overview of medico-legal updates in the current climate on consent and record keeping and Dr Victoria Sampson (Dentistry BDS, 2018) will present her published research on COVID-19 and oral health.
  
  
• For Webinar #3 on Thursday 7 October 2021, Editor-in-Chief of the British Dental Journal, Dr Stephen Hancocks OBE, will share top tips for publishing in Dentistry while Dr Peter Dean (Dentistry BDS, 1975; Medicine MBBS, 1982) will give us a history of coroners and suspicious death investigation in relation to forensic odontology.

Booking is flexible and you can register for one or all three webinars. If you require CPD, the rates for a single session is £15. If you would like to attend all three webinars, you can take advantage of a special discounted rate of £35. For those of you who do not require CPD, including Barts and The London students, you may attend all or any of the sessions for free.
