virtual workshop: communicating to wider audiences & academic writing

The workshop will be held via Zoom on Wednesday 26th February 2022, 5-8pm. Registration: £20

The session will help you to build your skills in science communication. Topics will include why communicating science is important, communicating through writing, orally and other methods, communicating to students, academics, children, the general public, stakeholders and policymakers, what makes a good science communicator and time to try out your newly acquired knowledge.

The session will also cover building skills in academic writing. Topics will include structure of arguments, writing persuasively, academic voice and story-telling amongst other vital elements of academic writing.
