Profile

I'm passionate about ending corporal punishment in all Australian jurisdictions. My doctoral research examined the law reform methods used to end corporal punishment in South Africa (judicial review by the Constitutional Court) and New Zealand (legislation passed by the Legislature) and the viability of either method in Australia. I am a member of the Legislation Group of the ‘End Physical Punishment of Australian Children’ (EPPAC) campaign, which is made up of child advocates, academics and not-for-profits under the auspices of the Parenting and Family Research Alliance (PAFRA), which is advocating for children to have the same rights to protection from violence as adults.
