Profile

Angharad Beckett is an experienced researcher in the field of Disability Studies, with a particular interest in Disabled Children’s Childhood Studies. She has undertaken research in the areas of inclusive education and inclusive play here in the UK, across Europe and in East Asia. She is the founding Editor-in-Chief (joint) of the International Journal of Disability and Social Justice, an Open Access, interdisciplinary and international publication. She has acted as an expert advisor to the Joint Working Group of the Committees of the UN Conventions on the Rights of the Child and Rights of Persons with Disabilities. She is currently editing a major Handbook and further collection on the rights of disabled children and young people.
