He is a former child worker and has over 12 years of professional experience working in the rural development sector, especially on climate justice, community resilience building, financial inclusions and children's access to education. Mavuto holds an MA in Global Development and Social Justice (St. John's University, USA-2019), BSc in Natural Resources Management (University of Malawi-2008).



Program and projects design and implementation focusing on resilience building, climate change adaptation, inclusive rural financial literacy and business development, sustainable energy complexities at household level and child labour. I have spent the last 12 years working with rural communities in southern Malawi and eastern Zambia.He has worked with the Wildlife and Environmental Society of Malawi (WESM)-2009/2012, University of Malawi/University of Strathclyde (2012/2015), Ethical Tea Partnership (2016/2020), among others.
