Profile

Ylva Ågrens research revolves around children´s culture, children and young people’s interaction with digital media in their everyday lives, consumer culture, children´s rights and child studies. Her current research is on children as professional influencers and internet celebrities. The project aims to explore Swedish children’s own assessments on the phenomenon of internet celebrities from the perspectives of child influencers. Further it will provide insights into knowledge about children and labour, leisure and responsibility in today’s digital culture.
