My focus in cell biology is on exploring the structural and biological properties of cells. During my time in the laboratory, I gained practical experience using analytical techniques including sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and chromatography to analyze cellular proteins and mechanisms.
Currently, I teach cell biology to laboratory scientists at the JEI. In the classroom and the instructional lab, I focus on breaking down biological concepts into practical steps. I enjoy helping students understand cellular theory and not just how to run experiments, but why each step matters for everyday laboratory research.
