I am broadly interested in evolutionary genetics, domestication, speciation and conservation.
My research mainly focuses on understanding the evolution of domestic animals using a combination of genomics, ancient DNA and geometric morphometric. I am interested in a range of questions such as where and when dogs were domesticated as well how artificial selection and gene-flow affected the genome of domestic animals. I am also interested in speciation and conservation of ungulates (cattle and suids) in Island South East Asia.
Current projects include 1) understanding the process of artificial using ancient and modern genomics 2) the origin of dogs 3) the evolutionary history of large ungulates in the island of Sulawesi 4) conservation genetics of cattle and suid species in Southeast Asia.
