Profile
I hold a BSc (Hons.) in Pharmacy and a PhD in Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of Strathclyde. I am also a registered pharmacist in the UK and Malaysia and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
I started working within the Nanchang Joint Programme at Queen Mary University of London in 2016. My teaching spans pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, medical chemistry and fundamental medical sciences.
I served as the Chair of the Nanchang Joint Programme Subject Examination Board for three years, until the 2024/25 academic year, and am currently the Lead of the Student Attendance and Engagement.
My scholarship interests focus on the enhancement of student learning and engagement in higher education, particularly through the effective use of educational technologies, the design of authentic and inclusive assessment strategies, and the development and delivery of high-quality transnational education. I am especially interested in approaches that promote active learning, student engagement, belonging and academic success within international and culturally diverse learning environments.
