Maurice R. Elphick and Sam Dupont
Michael (Mike) Thorndyke
Alumnus Michael (Mike) Charles Thorndyke sadly passed away early this year and Sam Dupont (University of Gothenburg) and Professor Maurice Elphick have written an obituary, which has been published online in the Journal of Marine Biological Association UK
Mike was a BSc student in Zoology (1965-1968) and PhD student (1968-1971) at Queen Mary, who then proceeded on to a highly successful academic career as a biologist. Professor Maurice Elphick was Mike’s PhD student at Royal Holloway (1988-1991).
