Research from PhD student Matilda Gibbons and Professor Lars Chittka, Professor of Sensory and Behavioural Ecology showing insects have a certain biological mechanism that indicates they may indeed have a subjective experience of pain has been featured in this Daily Mail article, along with coverage in Newsweek.
