Electoral Integrity Peer Review Mechanisms project

 

The EIPRMs project is the flagship initiative of the AES and is funded by a Leverhulme Trust Research Project Grant (2025–2028).

It is led by Dr Batsani-Ncube at Queen Mary, in collaboration with Dr Anna Kapambwe Mwaba (Smith College). The project investigates the origins, evolution, and political dynamics surrounding electoral integrity peer review mechanisms within key African regional organisations, including the East African Community (EAC), the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), and the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
