Who are the SNP members in charge of choosing next first minister?

Published:

Professor Bale writes for the Times on the demographics of the Scottish National Party, based on party member surveys he conducted after the 2019 general election. He writes: "SNP members are left-wing — very left-wing. More than nine out of ten agreed that ‘government should redistribute income from the better-off to those who are less well-off’, and that ‘big business takes advantage of ordinary people’." The Times

Professor Bale is also quoted in a Guardian article on Kate Forbes’ bid to succeed Nicola Sturgeon, and referenced in a piece in the New Statesman on the death of the centre right (clipping available on request).
