Republicans seem to think their time is coming – they will be disappointed

Published:

Following King Charles' recent visit in Edinburgh, Tim Bale, Professor of Politics at Queen Mary University of London, has written for iNews on the rise of republicanism and how this looks likely to develop.

"Enthusiasm for a hereditary head of state may be waning, and enmity may even be on the rise. But this is Britain, after all: acceptance and apathy will probably win the day come what may." iNews

Professor Bale was also quoted in an article in iNews assessing the Prime Minister's verbal presentation skills.

Professor Bale also wrote for the Evening Standard on the possibility of the Tories losing all three by-elections scheduled to take place before the summer recess.
