Professor Cowley appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live discussing the results of the local elections. Asked if it was possible to drawer wider conclusions, he said: “Yes, although you have to draw them with some caution. You have to accept that it’s a very crude picture but we know that there is a correlation between performance at local elections and performance at subsequent general election."
