Professor Sophie Harman discussed the five traps political leaders can fall into when it comes to a public health emergency as part of the 'Lessons On A Crisis' series on BBC Radio 4. She highlights: "The first, is they delay or downplay the response to the crisis. The second is that they fudge the science or complicated the science. This loses them a lot of backing from the wider scientific community."
