Britons to face strictest travel limits in Europe

From Monday, British citizens returning from the "red list" countries must quarantine for 10 days in designated hotels, costing travelers around £1,750. Only essential travel is allowed from countries not on the list and all international arrivals must show proof of a recent negative coronavirus test. Tim Bale, a Professor of Politics at Queen Mary said the government tends to view coronavirus restrictions as "something that will harm the economy, rather than seeing the case for how restrictions early on would actually be better for the economy in the long term."
